We provide Property Tax collection, Motor Vehicle titling & registration and DNR services in our offices.
We strive to provide courteous, professional service to our customers & will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have. Our offices are open to the public from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday*. The Treasurer’s office will continue to practice social distancing and asks only one customer per transaction when visiting an office location. Appointments Now Available!We are excited to announce that residents may now make an appointment at our Sioux City location at 822 Douglas Street using the following link: Schedule an Appointment You will be able to schedule a time from the comfort of your own home or at work through our online scheduling app. Using your phone, you will be able to confirm (or cancel if necessary) your appointment and let us know when you arrive at the office. You can avoid waiting in line and you will have the option to wait in our lobby, outside, or in your car until we are ready for you. For those with crazy schedules – no worries – we will still be taking walk-in customers and as always, we have the drive-up window. We process a maximum of three (3) titles for a walk-in services. Customers must be in the office at 4:15 pm for all title transfers. If additional title transfers are necessary, please make an appointment by calling (712) 279-6500 so that we can provide you with the best possible customer service while continuing to assist other customers. The drive-up window at the Sioux City location is open from 8:00 to 4:30 pm for vehicle renewals and tax payment with tax statement only. Delinquent taxes will not be accepted at the drive-up window. Only cash or check will be accepted at the drive-up window.
*Both Offices are typically closed from 8:00 am to 9:30 am on the 2nd Thursday of each month for staff meetings 2024 Staff Meeting Dates Thursday, May 9th Customers also have the option to pay property taxes and renew vehicle licenses online, through the mail or by utilizing the drop off box. For online payments customers can either select a link below or access via our County Website at www.woodburycountyiowa.gov . Payments can be made with eCheck*, Discover, Mastercard and Visa. *A Fee of $30.00 will be charged for all dishonored checks, drafts or orders as prescribed in Iowa Code 554.3512. |
