 No appointments needed for Driver License--Masks at your own discrection.

CASS COUNTY WILL REQUIRE A BILL OF SALE FOR TRANSFERRING VEHICLE TITLES BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2022. The Cass County Treasurer's Office will require customers to provide a Bill of Sale when transferring titles to motor vehicles. The Iowa State County Treasurer Association (ISCTA) in conjunction with the Iowa Department of Revenue (IDR) aim to substantiate vehicle purchase prices which have a direct impact on the fees that are remitted to the State's Road Use Tax Fund. Many counties already require a Bill of Sale. 
The Bill of Sale should include: Year of Vehicle, Make of Vehicle, Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Buyers Name, Date of Sale, Purchase Price and Signature of Seller
The Treasurers Office will accept any Bill of Sale if it has all the pertinent information.    Bill of Sale

Discover, MasterCard, Visa, and eCheck are accepted for Internet Transactions. All E-Checks returned for insufficient funds will be charged a fee of $30.00 for NSF. A terminal is available at the Treasurer’s Office to make online payments during office hours.

  • Your PIN # is the 5 digit number located in the upper right hand corner of your Tax payment stub. 

Renew Your Tags 

  • You are not eligible to renew online unless you received a renewal notice through the US Postal Service that contains a PIN number for online renewals.

  • Driver License  When renewing your driver license you have 60 days after your birthday for your license to be valid in the State of Iowa.
